Gardening for Schools – Primary 7 Environmental Planting Workshop
At Gardening for Schools, we were delighted to spend a glorious afternoon working with the Primary 7 pupils, delivering an engaging hands-on workshop led by Kieran Gallagher from Gallagher Gardening. During the session, we explored the vital environmental role of plants—why they come in different colours, how bees and other pollinators rely on them to survive, and how this connects to the production of honey. 🐝🍯🌼
The pupils showed fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork as they planted their own pots, proudly leading the way for the younger classes who will have their turn next. Their curiosity and excitement to watch their plants grow over the coming weeks were wonderful to see. We were thrilled to share our knowledge with both pupils and staff, and it was a pleasure to support their growing interest in gardening and environmental care. 👏🌿
